A new app designed for cafes, restaurants, hotels and any business serving food to the public is available from today on Google Play and from the App Store completely FREE of charge.

MenuLab has taken 10 months to develop and helps businesses to track allergens in the food they serve to customers. A lot of businesses have spent the last 12 months recording allergens on paper, leading to a mountain of paperwork and an increasing risk of ‘allergen errors’. MenuLab is a digital solution for any business with a smartphone or tablet.

The app includes features such as barcode scanning and access to nearly 10,000 food service products – all with allergen information. Stock items can be turned into recipes and menus, helping chefs and waiting staff to quickly see what allergens are in their dishes.

Lisa Cuthbert, Managing Director at MenuLab is urging businesses to download the app: “The allergen law came into force over a year ago but still some businesses are still not recording allergens or if they are, they are using pen and paper. This app has been designed to make it easy for business owners, chefs and waiting staff to quickly see what allergens are in their dishes helping to please customers and stay compliant with the law. We urge businesses to download the app whilst it is free and provide feedback on their experience of using the app and what they would like to see in future releases”.

The app is available to download on Google Play and the App Store. Go to our website:
